Yavonte Hopkins (born March 14th 1994), better known by his Stage name Clutch or his alias SawceGawdClutch on social media, is an American Hip-Hop rapper & singer from Sanford, FL. Coming from the rough streets of Bokey, Clutch tells a story like no other. Finding his passion for music at the age of 9, Clutch knew music was his calling. He begin taking music seriously his sophmore year in high school recording at in-house recording studios along with other friends who had the same dream. Graduating from high school in 2012 he went from performing at high school gigs and shows to local gigs in Downtown Orlando, FL.
After taking some time off from music due to rough times, he returns in 2016 being signed under Green Society Ent. and drops a freestyle to J Coles' "Back To The Topic". Shortly after he dropped his first single and music video "Southside Chick" Feat. LB199X from Washington D.C and hosted a beach party under the Daytona Beach Pier May 28th, 2016. November 11th, 2016 Clutch releases "Overlooked" his first extended play, via digital distribution. This EP brings various sounds and good vibes along with some real life issues we face everyday from love, money, and segregation. From moving all across florida to making the southside of Orlando his stomping ground he sets the tone.
